Gíl George lives in Portland Oregon, where she serves as the Operations Manager for the Friends World Committee for Consultation, Section of the Americas, as clerk of Elders at West Hills Friends, and part of the planning team for the Trans General Assembly. She is married to Melody and they have two children and has lived in multiple community living situations including a refugee resettlement home in Queens, NY and the L'Arche Community in Tacoma, WA. Often seen chasing her dog Oreo while she chases squirrels, Gíl also enjoys reading, playing video games, board games, and creating welcoming spaces where folks can enjoy a meal and good conversation.
